The Rocket Drive Solid State Disk is delivered
pre-configured and only takes 3-5 minutes to install in servers and
workstations. This allows the user to begin realizing the drive's
capabilities almost immediately.
 Being
PCI bus-attached enables the Rocket Drive to operate at high
performance bus speeds, while other storage devices are constrained
by the I/O and transfer speeds of the channel connection. Users will
not only benefit from the Rocket Drive's amazing speed but also the
ability to use multiple Rocket Drives in one system by spanning or
striping the drives, thereby creating a much larger storage device.

Hardware Compatibility:
The Rocket Drive is compatible with
Intel and Via chipsets.
Dell servers with Server Works
chipsets such as the 2600, 2650, 4600, 6600, 6650, and 8450 have
known BIOS level problems with the Rocket Drive. We are working on a
workaround for users of those systems.
The Rocket Drive is a 1/2 length,
full height PCI card. The RAM modules extend 1/2 inch beyond the
card, so adequate space must be provided above the card. The
following IBM XSeries servers do not have physical space for the
Rocket Drive: 305, 335, 343, 345, 360.
